About Yazaki Corporation

Yazaki Corporation first began in 1929 as a small Japanese family business, and their initial products were wiring harnesses that were used for automobiles. After the end of World War II, Yazaki set their focus on wire harness production, and they began to see rapid growth. By the 1970s, the company initiated foreign expansion, establishing facilities in multiple countries over the following decades. As of 2011, Yazaki employs over 192,000 individuals across the globe, and around 90% of their workforce is situated outside of Japan.
